To what extent can we trust one another? The world is shrinking; our individual worlds are growing. Can the minorities and the little nations trust the ruling majorities and the giant economic powers, and vice versa? Can the poor and the workers of the world trust those who determine their lives and their livelihoods? Can we trust the Eastern Europeans to get their houses in order? Can we trust ourselves to do the same? Can we trust our leaders to serve the interests of the people in times of increasing uncertainty? Can we trust the market—or, rather, the leaders of our largest corporations—to act in the public interest? Or is everything now a contractual deal to benefit only those who invest and consume? Can we trust our neighbors, whether down the block, across the city or the country, or halfway around the globe? Can we trust the people we work with, and work for, or do we expend our energies instead on protecting ourselves and minimizing our vulnerability? We hope that we can trust in these ways, but it should not be taken for granted.

In the age of globalism and global challenges legal system needs to be as protective and fair as possible. The Constitution is recognized by every country as the Fundamental Law. The US is not an exception here. Its Constitution remains the model Constitution of a democratic state.

For the first time the clients referred, they are bitterly apprised that all is not as it should be, but they cannot put their finger on the reasons of their trouble. Very often people complain that they feel confused, nervous or under pressure. These indistinct phrases show that the source of the discomfort and unhappiness was not identified. This vagueness makes their distress bigger. Where is the cause of problem? It can be found in a person’s environment, behavior, body or mind. Besides, very often one problem can be quickly followed by the problems in other areas. The original problem can be lost in a snare of confusion and constantly growing stress.

India, or at least certain states in India, experienced a rapid rate of economic development and growth after 1991, when the country underwent changes from state socialism to the economic policy that welcomes foreign investments. Several consequences of this rapid development, such truck transportation, industrialization and urbanization, have contributed to the AIDS epidemic.

It is well known that many famous and great people have achieved their peaks in their late ages. Alfred Steiglitz, Albert Einstein, Jacques Barzun, Claude Monet, Arturo Toscaninni, Claude Pepper, Mildred Fenwick, Hume Cronyn, and Pablo Casals were all making major intellectual and artistic contributions well into their eighties and nineties. Miecyzslaw Horszowski, the great pianist, recorded Mozart, Chopin, and Schumann on his hundredth birthday.

In philosophy, ethics defines what is good for the individual and for society and establishes the nature of duties that people owe themselves and one another.

This paper is devoted to consideration of the works and acts of Samuel Champlain who is considered to be the Father of New France and the founder of Quebec. This outstanding man lived between 1575 and 1635 (though his date of birth is not particularly defined).

The goal of this paper is to consider his letters to the King of France and his diaries in which Champlain described his voyages and everything he saw during them. But before we begin considering Champlain’s works in particular, it is necessary to state that using letters (as well as diaries, and eye witness accounts) is very helpful in studying history. This paper is supposed to contemplate and dispute the issue of crusades which are considered to be holy wars against infidel. Were the crusades which took place in the period between 1095 and 1272 really motivated by merely religious aims? There are a lot of doubts in this respect nowadays.
Before we start considering the crusades and particularly their goals, it is necessary to define what the holy war is. Thus we will be able to make a conclusion as for the essence of crusades.
